What This Blog is About
You. This blog is about you, your family, and your business. Many law blogs read like scholarly articles, technical journals, or worse–law school text books! While these types of writings are important in certain circumstances, this blog is not one of these circumstances. I am writing this blog to highlight current legal issues and events that affect real people and businesses. While I can’t promise that you won’t see a random post or obscure topic every once in a while (if I think it is of particular note, interesting, or just entertaining), the bulk of this blog will be devoted to the practical–I will leave the case citations, fifty-page opinions, and latin expressions to others (though if you ever want any of this from me, just drop me note on the contact page).
Of course, a simple blog post cannot substitute for specific legal advice given in response to your specific situation. As such, this blog should not be substituted or taken as legal advice as to what you should or should not do. Even small differences in facts can drastically change your options and legal position. This blog is intended to serve as a launching point to help you reflect on your specific circumstances and to help you ask the right questions–of either this author or any other attorney.
Thanks so much for reading along. I look forward to the journey.
